Issue 2-3 2006 is a special issue on the UN-initiated global study The Millennium Ecosystem Assessment (MA). MA is the most extensive study ever of the linkages between the planet’s ecosystems and human well-being. It shows that the international community needs to make environmental conservation a top priority if it wants to meet the Millennium Development Goals.
We have chosen to collect a number of our previous articles on the MA in a special issue. In addition to these old, but re-edited, articles this issue also includes a number of new additions. The message of the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment bears repeating. Read again!
